Whew, has it been a crazy few months or what? I haven’t had a chance to come on here and wish you all a very happy new year!
I know many of us have been feeling it over the last two years; that stress and sense of impending doom. But until September, I really didn’t have anything to complain about. Life was still sweet over here in the peaceful, mostly uneventful, corner of the world (New Zealand).
Then I got put through the ringer with one issue after another that all seemed a little… surreal. So I now sympathize with everyone who has had to go through tough changes, make difficult decisions, or have been dealt bad cards over the past few years. Dealing with the effects of covid on top of personal problems takes a huge toll on our health and wellbeing.
Which is why I haven’t been as active on my social media, or written a post in a while. Thankfully, my life is back to normal and I am happy once more and enjoying life, with little-to-no drama.
Although the end of the year was a bit of a whirlwind for me, I’m going to share some snippets of my 2021 below. I had a great time for the most part. And even when I wasn’t having a ball, the way I see it is – I was challenged for 4 months and came out on the other side a little humbled, having had new experiences and certainly learned new lessons.

In the future, I want to write about one of my not-so-pleasant experiences during this time since I think it’s an important topic to cover that many people will resonate with. But for now, I am leaving it in 2021, and looking forward to my partner and I’s future endeavors!
At the moment, I am VERY excited for a few things that are happening:
- A getaway to the Catlins (the southeastern coast of NZ)
- My boyfriend launching his own company
- Growing in my role at the lavender farm
- Going out on the lake more often with new water toys
- My pilates classes and concentrating on being healthier
- Learning and obtaining knowledge in new subjects

And my favourite quote to start the year is this,
“decide what kind of life you really want, and then say no to everything that isn’t that.”

Were you happy to see the back of 2021, or was it a good year for you? Comment a favourite memory of yours from the year, I would love to hear them!
Until Next Time,
M
